For more than 24 years, Toys for Kids Foundation has worked to make Christmas a little brighter for children throughout the Panama City area. Founded by Chris Moates, the organization grew from a vision of bringing the community together so that more local children could experience the excitement and joy of receiving a gift during the holiday season.

For a child, a toy can represent much more than something to unwrap. Play gives children opportunities to use their imaginations, explore new ideas, develop creativity, and simply enjoy being a child. During Christmas, receiving a gift can also create a meaningful sense of inclusion, especially for children whose families may be facing difficult circumstances.

Toys for Kids Foundation brings community members together around this need, helping ensure that children who might otherwise go without are remembered during the holidays. Through its work, the organization has made giving part of a longstanding local tradition centered on kindness and connection.
That generosity can have an impact beyond Christmas morning. When children experience compassion, inclusion, and care from the people around them, they see firsthand what it means to be part of a community that looks out for one another.
